HI
I have just bought a new panasonic DRM EZ27K, with built in freeview tuner.
although I have read the owners manual I am at a loss with one of it's functions. This unit is only two day's out of the box and installed. The problem is Ist thing in the morning the display shows the word "Guide" this I understand from the manual is that the EPG is upgrading and will take 30 mins to complete, that said the Guide message stays on all day and the unit will not respond to any command from the remote or manually from the unit controls, I have to switch it off from the mains (reboot it) to get it to function.
any ideas or does it go back.

I also have a new EZ27 it sound like yours may be bad

@plasticmac: is the machine supposed to use the Freeview guide broadcast with the programmes, or some other system (e.g. GuidePlus)?

speak to panasonic support they will send out a cd to load onto the dvd to fix this problem
