  • NEC ND-6650A won't recognize blank DVD media!
  • Question by badbear811, Saturday 6th of September 2008 02:12
So, I know that it used to work, but I have reformatted since then.  Now, It is able to read DVD's and play movies, but whenever I put in a blank DVD to burn, it recognizes it as a blank CD.  I have tried multiple brands of DVD's, and so far none of them have worked.  Furthermore, I just updated and reinstalled the firmware, yet it did nothing for the problem.  PLEASE PLEASE help me!  I really need to burn some DVDS.
Answer by Albert, Saturday 6th of September 2008 02:30
    Welcome to CD Freaks. Smilie

Did you try using a dedicated burning software, such as Nero or ImgBurn? Windows can't burn DVDs using its own burning engine.
