My products
Unfortunately, I have no consumer electronic products in my possession. Also, there are no products I have on my wannahaves list at this moment. My Reactions:
Ah, the classics.......
That was my initial reaction. LOL. Who decides on the release order?! Someone with obviously horrible taste in movies.

The problem is, it was said that Blu-ray would have more than 'enough' space to hold any game. If developers need more space it's clearly because of poor practices, not because the game is SO awesome. They should be worrying about gameplay, not the HD cut-scenes. Nobody buys a game to WATCH. They buy it to play. That being said, this better be one hell of a game. (Seriously doubting it though...)

'The Blu-ray Disc Association won the war because publishers and retailers made a choice for the consumer.'
That's what I've been trying to say.
Prices will drop, eventually. Remember when dvd burners were new technology and they cost $300-$800? Now you can get a good one for $25! BD players may not get THAT cheap, but it will get better.

Best Buy has lowered its price on the drive to $50, which still includes King Kong and the 5 by Mail. Yeah, HD DVD is dead, but its still Hi-Def for $50 and 6 movies.
But I'll pass.

The format war didn't involve consumers. Consumers played very little part in it. The war was fought and settled by the industry/studios. Personally I think Blu-ray is here to stay (and it had better). Executives need to understand that many people don't care what form the media/movie comes in (ie: dvd, blu-ray, download), they just want to own the media/movie.
I backup HD to hdds. My last drive was $80 for 500GB (WD MyBook external). That's $.16 per gigabyte.
