My products
Unfortunately, I have no consumer electronic products in my possession. Also, there are no products I have on my wannahaves list at this moment. My Reactions:
Why did they stand it on its side? So you can knock it over, break it and buy another one ? It is so thin, I would have made a flip stand on the bottom of the front that collapsed into the device when not in use. when you wanted to use the player, you flip down the stand, raising it a bit off the surface it is setting on and then you can insert a disc easier as well. Probably have some soft rubber tabs on the back so it does not slide. This would also be a lot easier to transport than that...

LOL! Who in their right mind is going to "invest" in this? The only thing these guys had going for them was their defiance of the law. Now, even that is gone. Napster re-loaded.
Get ready to watch the upcoming perp walks in the media. Not a lot of "tweets" from the boys lately....

I am gonna get several pre-order copies. You are not going to beat 50 bucks for home premium and 100 for Pro. I want 2 copies of Home 1 for my HTPC, 1 for me Netbook and one Pro opy for my main PC. I like the enhancements for netbook battery life and also the improvements of the Media Center for my HTPC. I could probably skip the Desktop Pro version- but for 100 bucks, I'll snag it since build my own PC's and will soon replace my desktop I am sure. So I want a legit serial number.

What it does is make them less sympathetic to her and it makes it easier for them to side with the plaintiff- the RIAA. Then when the punishment phase comes around ...look out!

Exactly. In addition, she had an opportunity to settle for 1800 dollars at the beginning, but refused. It is also reported that her demeanor during the jury trial was offensive to the jury and it is felt this hurt her quite a bit. She is her own worst enemy.

LOL I just read a Harris poll that says more Americans own HD DVD players (10%) than Blu ray...the "winning" format!

Shooshie- You are a perfect example of what I am talking about. You are unable to think logically. You have substituted emotion where emotion has no bearing. You are confused about fairness and laws on the books. You are also deliberately ignoring parts of the womans story that got her into this mess and concentrating on the final outcome of her SECOND trial. This gal is digging her own grave. And documenting her actions on the Internet. She is a fool.

The thing is- she is not being sued for DOWNLOADING - she is being sued for DISTRIBUTION of crap she does not own. This is what people cannot get through their thick heads. RTFA Copyright infringement- not downloading a handful of mp3s. This gal made available music from her computer to anyone that wanted it in the world that has an Internet connection and she failed to pay royalties for each copy she gave out. Ooops!

All games would be banned "where the main part is to realistically play the killing of people or other cruel or unhuman acts of violence against humans or manlike characters."
If only all governments would take the ACTUAL killing of REAL human beings as seriously and consider that as something to stop.
This world would be a better place and I would not have to pay as much taxes for military "peacekeeping"!

This just shows how clueless the industry leaders are. When it comes to music - if it isn't portable- it's dead. Who needs surround sound HD music when you are in an airplane? Who needs a giant device to play them on and a bag to schlepp around to carry your discs? Who wants a disc anyway? We already went thru this crap with CD's- they are kryptonite to a music lover!!!

By watching how netbooks have made MS lower the price of their OS- in order to dominate that market segment, just imagine what would happen if there were any true competition on the software side. It is really sad. i think they are licensing these versions of XP for about 15 bucks! I would imagine the Win 7 version will be about $29 for vendors that fit the "spec". And this is for a product that took extra work in order to cripple it.

I'll take the dollar and you can have the donut hole. I punched them in there myself.
We can all laugh at the conflict of interest stories etc, but, this does not change the reason for the case being brought to court.
Even priciples or beliefs or thinking something is unfair - is no defense for breaking a law. You will simply get a day in court to play sacrificial lamb, then you will go down.
The wheels of justice grind slowly and they don't stop.

In todays news: "Sony Corp. said it lost 98.9 billion yen ($1 billion) in the fiscal year through March, its first annual net loss in 14 years, and projected it would lose even more money this year amid a slump in consumer demand for electronics goods."
I think they are probably not going to throw gas on the fire by taking bigger losses on each PS3 sold.

LOL No, I did not know that! OK Victorius and Steveo..I give up!!! I think this conversation is just never going to get anywhere and has a lot to do with personal preferences. there are XP vs Vista battles everywhere you go on the 'net.
There seems to be two camps in the Vista XP realm and no one seems to be switching sides.
I just hope Win 7 is a BIG improvement over Vista (and I will be trying it on my HTPC) .
