Panasonic DMR-ES15 DVD recorder reviewed @ DVD Recorder World.
Reading some reviews is always a good thing before one buys a new piece of hardware. If you are planning to buy a standalone DVD recorder, maybe you are interested to read this review published by DVD Recorder World.

Why should this standalone be more interesting than others? That's simple: like other Panasonic recorders, other than on DVD+RW & DVD-RW rewritable media, the DMR-ES15 is able to read and write on RAM discs:

Jump directly to any spot on a disc and begin playback or recording right away with the Rapid Random Access function when using DVD-RAM discs. Even if there is no sequential area of empty space available, this DVD recorder can record data on available space throughout the rest of the disc. You will also avoid searching for a blank spot to start recording, or accidentally recording over desired material.

As many CDFreak's already know, RAM media is more reliable than RW discs, so this recorder have an advantage over other standalones ;)

Among the other things, this recorder features component video outputs for progressive video, DV input to connect DV camcorders, and it's able to record up to 8 hours of video per single layer disc or up to 14 hours on double layer discs.

As always, feel free to report about this recorder on our DVD Recorder and Home Entertainment Forum.

It´s a very good recorder, but it´s late for testing because most ppl will buy one with HDD
