12X10X32 CD-R/RW/CD-ROM and 8X DVD-ROM..
Reading this newspostings title, you might have thougt: would be cool to have something like that. Well, you can ! Ricoh now ships the MP9120A 12X10X32 CD-R/RW/CD-ROM and 8X DVD-ROM Combo Drive

Ricoh Corporation DMS-Center also announced shipping for a new line of value-price CD-R/RW drives. Called the MP7083A, the 8X8X32X is priced at $179 (MAP) and will be available through its online store: http://www.buyricohcd.com.

In addition to the usual pre-mastering and UDF packet-writing software, special software offers features for audio, backup and (super) Video CD compilation. See the Ricoh DMS website for product specifications and software features: http://www.ricohdms.com.

The MP9120A combo drive package includes Prassi's PrimoCD(TM) Plus CD-mastering software, which can also create CD-DA directly from MP3 files and supports Windows MDI (Multi-Document Interface) as well as other major CD. Other software bundled with the drive includes abCD(TM) for drag and drop UDF packet writing and DVD-Video playback software, WinDVD2000.

Powerful music functions include a maximum 32X digital audio extraction (DAE) speed and S/PDIF terminal for digital audio output. The recorder and software are also designed for CD-R duplication.

Usually things that are too packed together just mean you loose a lot of advanced features from each one of the combined technologies but this sounds like it's all in one with each one being a great product!! I like the 32x DAE especially

I agree with Nila this thing sounds awsome almost too good. I'd be very interested to see its individual units performance and see if it is really up to par !

Hey, I accidentally ordered a bare bones (drive only) kit, so don't have any drivers/software for this baby. Anyone know where I can get some? Win 98 and 2000 don't see it as a burner.

Please email me and let me know. thanks.
