DVDFab Platinum 3.0.2.0 defeats FluxDVD protection

Fengtao Software,

a world leader in DVD decrypting/copying/converting/burning software, releases the new DVDFab Platinum 3.0.2.0. For the first time DVDFab Platinum allows to circumvent the latest version of copy protection FluxDVD, which can be found in commercial DVD download sites like CinemaNow.com.

FluxDVD was developed by ACE, which is resident in Dortmund, Germany. It was certified for online DVD distribution by all major Hollywood movie companies.

"The latest version of FluxDVD was incredible hard to crack, the ACE guys improved it a lot from the original release. But for DVDFab their efforts were without success.", said Fengtao, CEO of Fengtao Software.

This is funny... the wording of this press release is almost identical to the SlySoft press release from August: http://www.cdr-zone.com/news/anydvd_beats_fluxdvd_protection.html

fengtaoIt's not funny. New FluxDVD is still developed by ACE, so some text is same. BTW, SlySoft cannot beat new FluxDVD.

CrabbyappletonI guess the main thing is, we have people out there that are able and willing to stick their necks out, to provide us with ways to return our Fair Use Rights. We should all be grateful to these people, that (some of which) have been driven from their homeland to help us fight against corporate greed! Thanks to Fengtao, Slysoft, Elby, DVDJon, Alcohol, GameJackal, LUK!, Pirate Bay, Viodentia and everyone that I forgot to mention, that fights these annoying digital protections, that cripple how we can use our legitimate purchases. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!! devil We appreciate it! And we support you. puh

shaolin007"But for DVDFab their efforts were without success" ??? Did they or didn't they succeed? I assume they met "...were not without success"

This tool has gone from freeware to crippleware in one easy step. Screw 'em.

CrabbyappletonDVDFab platinum is not freeware - never was. I saw the comment you are quoting on BetaNews as well. The software being "reviewed" was DVDFab Decrypter. Get your facts straight prior to complaining.

philamberIndeed. DvdFabDecrypter is a freeware ripping tool kindly released by fengtao after Lightning_UK! was forced to cease development of and transfer his rights in Dvd Decrypter to Macrovision. In doing so and in constantly updating it to deal with the latest protections, fengtao acted and continues to act contrary to his own commercial interests since that tool can be used in conjunction with DvdShrink to provide an entirely freeware back-up solution.

Even the basic package is now trialware that expires as far as I can see. I can no longer find a version on the site that isn't. If you can, please post the link here.

Here's a link to the FREE "basic package" -- maybe now you'll apologize for your misinformed remarks and stop whining... http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

Before I take the time to download and install this puppy (I've wasteed enought ime downloading 3.x versions, thanks), answer me one simple question: Is this like the 2.x release which provided basic ripping functionality with no nagging, no features that gave you popups saying "to enable this buy the full version" and no time constraints? If the answer is "yes", I apologise. If the answer is no to ANY of the above conditions, then my assessment of the software stands and is accurate and no apology is necessary. As I said: simple.

fengtaoHi Roj, If version 3.x removes any feature exists in version 2.x, then I'll apologize. If fact, we add "Main Movie" feature into version 3.x of freeware DVDFab Decrypter. We are the only company which not only provide shareware, but also provide freeware to help user to beat latest copy protection like FluxDVD.

Fengtao, Thanks for everything you do. After using the freeware for about a year I finally made the jump from to the full program 3 months ago. You do deserve to be paid for the hard work you do.

Fengtao: We thank you for your efforts on behalf of fair use. However, when I go into a store and someone tries to interest me in a product I hav eno interest in, I politely say I'm "just looking" and that's usually enough to convince the salesperson to not inflict me with any further unwanted "convincing". Think of my desire for a plain interface with no unwanted "suggestions" in the same vein. I know more than a few people out there who share this view and who consider such methodolgies on the part of vendors as a very convincing argument NOT to puchase their wares. No apologies necessary on either side, I'm sure. Wink
