OCZ unveils ultra-fast 2.5'' SATA2 SSDs

OCZ Technology Group, a company more known for high performance RAM, power supplies and cooling, has unveiled its first SATA II 2.5" Solid State Drives, which are much lighter and efficient than conventional hard disks.  These SATA drives are targeted at high end laptops for performance and at ultra-thin models for reducing weight and also boosting performance.

The drives come in capacities of 32GB and 64GB and feature read and write speeds of 120MB/s and 100MB/s respectively.  They are enclosed in a durable lightweight brushed alloy housing and have no moving parts, making them shock resistant to 1500G.  Their mean time between failure is 2 million hours.

No information about availability or pricing is available at this time of writing.
