CD/DVD recovery software CDRoller has been updated

The CD/DVD recovery tool CDRoller has been updated to version 5.30 a while ago. CDRoller can be used to retrieve your valuable data from damaged discs. It supports CD data created by Sony digital cameras, it can retrieve back up files from discs recorded in several stages (multisession CDs) and it can find and retrieve lost files on UDF discs. A complete list of features can be found on the CDRoller website. Here's the changelog for the latest version:

Changes in CDRoller v5.30:

  • Scan UDF Disc is updated. A quick (preliminary) identification of the lost files at the scanning stage is released. Now, the built-in File Identifier can recognize the file type "on-the-fly", and assign the proper extension to the file so that Windows application can open the file.
  • File Identifier is updated. Added support of the Quicken database files, TIFF files and Adobe PSD files.
  • Minor bugs fixed.
CDRoller costs $ 29.50 and comes with a 3-year license which grants you free upgrades for that time. Feel free to post your experience with this software in the comments below. For more information about the quality and lifespan of CD/DVD media you can visit our Media Forum.
