99 minutes CD-R's info

99 Minutes CDR's are here!
This info is in german only, sorry. Basically it says that those 99 min-CDR's have to be 'overburnt', because the ATIP says 79.59 (just like a CDR 80). You need a compatible burner and compatible software. The first comp. soft is CDRWin and Joerg Schillings 'Cdrecord' (available for many OS's; for Win32 here.)

A list of compatible burners will be presented in the next few days. Some burners (like the Mitsumi 4004) can burn up to 99:05 mins without problems, others (like Teac CD-W54 and I think also the PlexWriters) go up to a max of 90 mins. Others stop at 84 mins. Also some audio-CD-Players have Problems, but Joerg Schilling said in a german newsgroup, that his 15 year old Philips could manage a 99 min. CD without any trouble.

Hey Virus,

Incase you didn't know, you CAN burn a dreamcast game. www.dcisos.com

And you can't tell me (ooh, they probably don't work) cause I just happen to have 12 burned games currently and yes they all work fine.

I have the newest plexwriter and I havn't managed to break the 700Mb barrier either with the standard 80 min./700Mb CD-R's or the special 800Mb/90 min CD's These things were expensive so I want to get them to work...I've got hundreds of movies in the 700 to 800 Mb range that need to go on CD...any help would be appreciated
