Digital Playground, a pr0n film studio, has announced that its newest release (Pirates) will be in both the Blu-ray and HD DVD format. After the company made a handful of DVD's in the HD DVD format, the company will now start with their first Blu-ray release.

Playground's support is significant since the adult studio criticised Blu-ray's backer Sony earlier this year. Since then Digital Playground only made high-definition pr0n in the HD DVD format. The main reason for the studio's criticism was it's backer blocking strategy.

The decision is important and shows the company's strategy to give both formats a chance. They will release in both formats until there is a 'clear-cut winner'.
