Advances in holographic materials by TDK
Tech-On reports that TDK developed a prototype holographic material with enhanced recording capability of 76 Gbits/inch2 intended for holographic media. The material has a high M# of 41.8/mm. The M# indicates the overwriting capability of holographic media. As the M# gets higher, the degree of data multiplexing can be increased more easily, resulting in a higher recording density. More detailed (a bit technical) information is available at Tech-On.

So what is gonna happen when nobody uses CD's anymore? Are they still gonna call it cdfreaks.com? What happens if holographic cubes becomes all the rage? I think cubefreaks.com is already taken. Will they redesign the page layout if they change domain names? So many questions.
