Alcohol version 1.9.6.5403 released

Alcohol software has released a new software version, which features a handful of improvements, updates and bug fixes.  For those new to Alcohol software, it is a disc emulation software that allows one to archive CDs and DVDs (excluding CSS protected titles) on their PC to either backup or access without the need for the original discs, thus avoding the need to carry discs on the move and reduce the risk of discs getting damaged, lost or stolen.  The software comes in two versions:  Alcohol 120% which gives the ability to record and emulate discs and Alcohol 52%, which features emulation only.

Changelog for version 1.9.6.5403:

  • NEW Increased memory buffer from 128 to to 256
  • NEW support for isz, b5t b6t image file formats
  • NEW Upgraded Reading Engine, Speed Improved
  • NEW Upgraded Writing engine, Speed Improved
  • NEW Upgraded Starwind ISCSI function
  • NEW SPTD layer to version 1.47
  • FIX Addressed some blacklisting problems
  • FIX Bugs reported by some users
  • FIX Vista compatible problem concerning activation
  • UPDATE language files
  • UPDATE Devsupp additional support for more drives

Alcohol software can be downloaded here from the Alcohol software website.  Alcohol 120% and 52% are both available as a shareware 30-day trial.  A free edition of Alcohol 52% is also available, but is bundled with its Protection Database Search Toolbar.
