ArcSoft Announces TotalMedia Extreme Bundle with SLI (Press Release)

ArcSoft, Inc. announced today that ArcSoft TotalMedia™ Extreme will be bundled with the Panasonic Blu-ray and all DVD optical drives distributed by Sunland International (SLI). TotalMedia Extreme is a complete software solution for working with high definition multimedia content, including video playback, creation and editing of video and music discs, and data mastering. The Panasonic Blu-ray optical drive has a slimline, slot loading form factor and can record to any format. SLI is a direct source and distribution partner serving a global customer base of OEMs, system integrators, and resellers.

The ArcSoft TotalMedia™ Extreme software suite includes four primary applications: Digital Theatre, TotalMedia Studio MV, TotalMedia Studio AV, and TotalMedia Backup & Record. The application suite provides video playback, video editing and authoring, music disc ripping and burning, data mastering, and backup solutions for virtually all optical media, including Blu-ray discs, DVDs, and CDs. The component programs are fully integrated, providing an elegant and unified home entertainment experience.

Since there are only a handful of good blu-ray products, I'd say it doesn't matter when this press release was posted. If it was telling me Nero did an update back in April it wouldn't be news.
