The BenQ
DW-1640 has been voted as the most popular DVD burner at the moment. This DVD
burner seems to be the biggest succesor for BenQ ever and is also sold by other
brand names such as Sony, which usually uses Lite-On drives.
The second most popular drive is the NEC ND-3540 which means that NEC did it again and created a drive with a great balance in price and performance. Also Plextor has done a great job with its PX-716, altough Plextor drives are usually a bit more expensive the company managed to be voted at the third place by our visitors.
And for your enjoyment we've added a new poll about the follow up of the DVD, let's see how you think about this at this moment.

There's no guarantees someone didn't just pump the poll score up.
I have a Benq 1620 and it seems pretty rock solid so far. Also, after having read the Benq forums, you can find lots of good feedback about how people love the 1620/1640 drives. There are some very good burns to be achieved with the drives.
Sorry if that was a jumble, it's bed time.
