Free, does it ever really exist? Well if you're going to Best Buy and get yourself a Toshiba HD-A30 HD-DVD player then you'll get nine free HD-DVD movies with it. Of course the player is already $399 and the real manufacturing price of a HD-DVD disc will likely be less than a dollar but still you get it for free, the magic word!
For the first five discs you'll have to choose from 15 titles, available by mail. Two others (300 and The Bourne Identity) come in the box of the Toshiba HD-A30 player. The remaining two titles are being made available directly from Best Buy at the point of purchase (excluding TV DVD and box set releases).
Now, how many of you are willing to spend $400 for a HD-DVD player and nine movies? Think about it, that deal isn't that bad, how much would you pay for nine movies alone?
Useless ?. Guess what HD DVD will be soon.
Anybody else like that future?
. Besides, if you have interest in X264 crap on 4.7GB (Which might be as ugly as divx is from DVD's) you might as well DL em as any other id*it.
