CD Freaks: Memorex 16x DDL-IN DVD burner review

Well, it looks like our Staff Reviewer crossg, must be locked up in the test labs and someone threw away the key. Because he has cranked out another review today for us to check out! This time, he has given the Memorex 16X DDL-IN burner, generous exposure to our exhaustive gamut of reading and writing tests for optical drives. According to the manufacturer, the Memorex supports 16x DVD±R, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW and 8x/6x DVD+R DL/DVD-R DL writing. Is this true? Inquiring minds want to know!

Below, you can take a look at what can be found in a retail bundle from your favorite supplier:

The drive supplied was the retail version, and as we can see, we were supplied with the following:

  • Memorex 16X DDL-IN drive
  • Black bezel with silver tray
  • 1 DVD+R 16x disc
  • Nero 6.6.0.8 Memorex suite software disc
  • 40 wire IDE cable, analogue audio cable
  • Fixing screws
  • Instruction booklets for Hardware and Software

If you would like to know how this drive performed in "real world" tests given during this review, then I encourage you to drop by here and take a look. Then of course, feel free to visit the Club CD Freaks Forum and don't forget say hello to Greg (crossg) in the Memorex review thread. If you have any questions, we are sure that he would be happy to do his best to help you out. Comments are always welcomed by our Review Team members!
