Today, we are proud to present the review of the Pioneer DVR-110 DVD Burner, which Pioneer Europe NV was kind enough to send us for review. This is their latest "Super Multi" DVD burner, which has identical features to the DVR-110D, but with the addition of being able to write DVD-RAM media. The Pioneer DVR-110 series is also the world's first DVD burners to support the writing of DVD-R DL media at 8x.
Like the Pioneer DVR-110D, this drive also supports writing speeds of 16x DVD±R, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW and 8x DVD±R DL. Our European reviewer Dee-27 has worked on this review and has published her in-depth hardware review. As usual, this review covers reading, writing and disc quality tests over a wide range of media. Finally, the review also covers advanced tests such as the "Sheep Test", ability to cope with various copy protected audio CDs and over-burning.
