CD Freaks presents the Pioneer DVR-109 16x DVD-writer review

We finally get a look at the much anticipated newest 16x drive from Pioneer. This writer has a nice list of specs which includes support for: DVD-R/+R Dual/Double Layer media types at 6X (once upgraded with firmware and once media is officially approved) along with 16X writing to DVD-R/+R, 8X (again once the media is approved and a firmware is installed) writing to +RW and 6X to DVD-RW.

The drive arrived in good order in the testing labs in Norway where Tor Magne was waiting. We know that he will put this drive under an intense scrutiny which will result in a very thorough and accurate review.

DoMiN8ToRThe reasons for the delay are mentioned in the review and were unfortunately beyond our influence.
