CD Freaks presents the Pioneer DVR-112 18x DVD Rewriter review

Today, we are proud to present a full review of one of Pioneer's latest DVD writers, the DVR-112.  A few improvements over the DVR-111 include faster writing speeds of 18x for both DVD+R & DVD-R, 10x DVD+/-R double/dual layer and up to 12x DVD-RAM.  Other write speeds include 8x/6x DVD+RW/-RW and 40x/32x CD-R/RW respectively.

A few key features of this drive include Performance Adjusting Firmware to optimise the disc's rotation speed to support the application's reading requirements while minimising drive noise, Multi-effect Liquid Crystal Tilt Compensator to compensate for warped/uneven discs, Ultra-DRA to suppress vibration from imbalanced discs and a Disc-Resonance Stabiliser to control airflow from the disc's high rotational speed and to also minimise disc warping at high rotational speeds.

Our senior reviewer Dee-27 has carried out the in-depth review of this drive.  With how impressed the drive turned out to be throughout the review, we have awarded it our CD Freaks "Editor's Choice Award

The complete review, which includes in-depth read, write and disc quality testing, covering a wide variety of CD and DVD recordable media can be read here.  Feel free to comment or ask questions about the review or the drive on our forum in this thread.
