LG Germany was kind enough to send us their Latest DVD Writer for review, the LG GSA-4167B Super multi DVD Writer. This DVD writer supports all currently available CD and DVD recordable formats including CD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW and even DVD-RAM. It features write speeds of 16X DVD±R, 8X DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 6X DVD+R DL, 5x DVD-RAM and 4x DVD-R DL. The drive's software bundle consists of Nero Express 6 OEM Suite, PowerProducer Gold and Power DVD.
Our European reviewer coordinator Jan worked on this review and has just published his in-depth hardware review, which as usual, covers reading, writing and disc quality tests of a wide range of media. The review also covers advanced tests such as how well it copes with reading and writing copy protected discs, 99 minute CD-Rs and so on.

As with our previous reviews, this review covers in-depth read and write tests on a wide range of brands consisting of DVD plus and minus writable and rewritable media, dual/double layer media, CD writable and rewritable media and even DVD-RAM media. Each write test is followed by a Disc Quality test to show a PI/PIF graph of the performance of each disc.
