CeBIT: Snow and rumors on day two

Day two of CeBIT started of with snow. For Europe this was special since for me it was more than a year ago that I saw the white wonder. An icy cold followed and many looked grumpy at the start of the day.

We made our way to an interview with Jens Bocking of Toshiba and caught the man saying that the company won't make Blu-ray drives. For now we can take this as the truth, but other rumors and intel show us that the company will start developing Blu-ray products some day. This could be a step that we all understand since Toshiba is too big to not play a role in the high-definition market of tomorrow.

During an interview with PLDS we caught up with Jelmer Veldman and later on we found ourselves sitting at Nero's business lounge. The company's General Manager Patrick Peeters told us that Nero will launch an update for Nero Suite 8 next week. At the Iomega stand we had champagne and made a video concerning the company's newest REV 120 GB removable disk drive.

At the end of the day everybody started their search for a party. We ended our day at Kaspersky's. The company that focusses on internet protection helped us and others with a few drinks... Day two ended around midnight and day three is still going on.
