You might have seen it, but you can now show a picture near every reaction you make. Yes, no longer do you spoil us with your textual pieces of art, you now also have the choice to show some more about yourself using a picture, which is called an avatar. An avatar is described by Wikipedia as a computer user's representation of himself or herself, whether in the form of a three-dimensional model used in computer games, a two-dimensional (picture) used on Internet forums and other communities.
That's a long sentence, we would just say, a picture that represents yourself. Even DukeNukem had some time to upload one between Sony bashing, not to forget shaolin007,Dr Who, SciFer, Crabbyappleton, AlexSGV, Hypnosis4U2NV, cd pirate and Zod, amongst others.
Don't you think it's about time you get yourself one too? We know you want it! If you want to know how, it's terribly simple. Log in to the forums, using your current account (or you might already be logged in!) and head over to this page. There you can upload a picture (64x64 pixels, max 34kb.) and there you go. We look forward to all your creative imagery and if you're a bit smart it will take you only 30 seconds!
If anyone would like to have an avatar but isn't experienced using a photo-editing program, I'd be happy to help. Just send me a message about what kind of avatar you would like and an e-mail address to send it to.
DukeNukem, thanks for your offer. I'd like to have an avatar that shows: "Long Live Blu-ray". I'm out of idea what to draw or how to place the text.
Thanks!
@ Happyguy - My religious beliefs preclude me from doing that. I'd rather hear gunshots from my child's bedroom than create a "Long Live Blu-ray" avatar.
LMAO @ DukeNukem.
If I found out where you live, I may be inclined to send you a nice packet of unburned Blu-ray media (Sony branded). Oh and I'd conceal it in something you would unsuspectingly open, hopefully making you touch the discs with your bare hands by accident .
