I don't know if J.W. Aldershoff, aka DoMiN8ToR knew when he started this site in 1997 what it would become. But, thank goodness he did, because he did something right. Because of him, his staff , the moderators for the forums, volunteers, sponsors, developers, members and everyone that visits this fully interactive site; there is a place to go and discuss our hardware, corresponding software, learn about new optical technologies of the future and the many legal issues we are facing.
Today, let us make a little celebration together, as the CD Freaks website has now logged over 50,000 guests as members! In fact, we surpassed the 50 thousand mark on the forum counter just prior to 12 o'clock midnight, Netherlands time, on November the 4th!
Have you ever thought of the amount of knowlege that is contained on this site? It is all your knowledge and is the result of the synergy from a world class, international group of people, that have made CD Freaks what it is today. Each member is critical to the success and future of this site. Each day as we add more members and share our thoughts and discoveries it becomes stronger. We now log on average 50,000 hits a day and have millions of visitors each month, there can be well over 1,000 people interacting on this site any given moment!
That brings up what makes CD Freaks so unique. We come from all over the world, bringing with us varied backgrounds and skills. Some as end users, some are software or hardware developers, everyone is from all walks of life and age groups. Interestingly, we all are able to communicate and share our knowledge, opinions and ideas together. We are very fortunate to have such a community!
