DISH Network had some launching issues, but all the channels that were supposed to roll out over the next few months are still on track. Some already counted DISH out, but the network will still offer its promised channels. Several issues occured and many thought this would kill DISH's planning...
In Kazakhstan an anomaly occured during a Proton's mission with the AMC-14 satellite. DISH's AMC-14 failed to reach orbit and many started hoping that Direct TV's launch will go better. A list of markets will still get local HD in April or May offered by DISH. The rest, about one hundred HD channels and markets should be taken care of by the end of the year. These will be offered by the two remaining satellites that are still going up this year.
Who will be the top HD provider can't be said yet. Anyone has an idea?
