December wasn't a good month for Sony's Playstation 3

Last december Playstation 3 sold a total of 798,000 consoles compared to 1.3 million consoles for both the Xbox 360 and The Wii. A reason for this news can be found Playstation's problem with third party developers.

A total of 33 third party developers made it to the top 10 of best selling on all platforms. Only five PS3 games did the same. Sony is maybe winning the format war, but they are losing another fight in the game industry...

This may just be me, But can somebody please explain how 33 developers can make it into the top 10?. Even if it were a top 10 on each platform that would be a total of 30.

shaolin007I am sorry to tell Sony and any other game company but graphics doesn't make a game. I don't know about your area but the Nintendo Wii was selling off the shelves around Christmas. You couldn't get one. Should be a lesson to the game industry that graphics aren't the only thing in a game.

they should rename this site sony bashers r us!! Stick Out Tongue ive got the ps3 and it blows me away, not to mention i can now watch most of my divx and wmv collection on it now too, or on my psp anywhere in the house!! blu players not bad but im not that impressed by it hence only owning 2 films, but the console itself, i feel, is a well made piece of kit!! this is just my opinion, and i was going to go for a xbox360, but was put off by hardware issues! just feel that if you guys are going to slate sony, then there are plenty of other big companys that are no different to them, yet you seem to leave them well alone. i'll probably get called a fanboy for this post but if a fanboy is a person who defends their own console, then im proud to be one!!

Electrox3d"Sony is maybe winning the format war..." Can I just say, yet again, Blu-ray is NOT a Sony proprietary format. It was developed by Panasonic mainly, and Philips with financial backing from Sony. They are using it the most, but its the whole industry that is winning the "war" except Universal Pictures. This is why Blu-ray can be used like a DVD-RAM disc, which basically makes it an optical HDD, Panasonic technology built right in.

Hypnosis4U2NVWell financial backing and the fact SONY was the first to release a player right before Panasonic puts them right up there.. The point is that anything Sony touches turns into crap for the consumer..
