DivX 5.0 review @ Toms Hardware Guide

THG has a review on the not so long ago released DivX 5.0. They have tested the encoding features but also benchmarked it on several systems.

Summary:

The popular "DivX" MPEG-4-Codec takes on a professional look with a new start-up, new developers and marketing, plus a cool Web site and a product that millions are using. On the streets they call it the "MP3 of video." But is it strong enough to survive?

Read the entire review here. What do you think ? Is DivX5.0 the best or is for e.g the Xvid codec already better ?

Sorry but there are other more worthy sites for reading evaluations of DivX. THG is (was) good for testing motherboards and graphics controllers puke
