Doctor bans boy from Playstation to stop head twitching

Man, this kid should go outside and get some fresh air! Git on that bicycle fror heavens sake and peddle down the sidewalk! I mean this story is about a child that lives in San Diego, California, so it isn't like he is trapped inside due to winter weather.

Nicholas Lavin said that he played PlayStation constantly over the holidays at his home in San Diego and began to notice that his head would jerk back and forth.

"I would do funny things with my head," Nicholas said.

Lavin's mother said her son began to twitch so badly that she took him to the family's pediatrician.

The doctor told her he was not allowed to play PlayStation anymore. Once he stopped playing PlayStation, the twitching stopped, according to the report.

"All the head jerking is gone and his eyes are completely back to normal," Barbara Lavin said. "I think it's a direct connection to the PlayStation and the amount of time he spent on it."

I wonder if he was using a PSP in the car on the way to the clinic! This is the most sad story I have seen in a long time. I just hope he wasn't on that thing as long as I imagine it would take to cause such a reaction, as this seems unhealthy in many ways. So sad.

Hypnosis4U2NVMaybe the parents need to go see a doctor also, since in many ways they are responsible for the kids problems.. They should spend some quality time with their kids.. Video games seem to be the preferred method used by parents to control their children and keep them occupied..

So he'll be spending more time with his XBox and Nintendo now.

Perhaps it was his Dad smacking him on the back of the head when he used it and shouting "Get off that bloody Playstation and go do your homework!", hence his head kept twitching whenever he used it?

When you do have children, be sure to teach them the difference between "there" and "their." biggrin

If this kid can pull together enough cash to buy an AK, the parents really need to throttle back on this kid's allowance. It'd cost at least $1200USD for a real one.
