Fujitsu to release 7200-RPM 320 GB 2.5" HDD
Fujitsu announced the availability of a new hard disk drive, the MHZ2 BJ series, claimed to be the world's first 2.5" drive featuring a rotational speed of 7200 RPM and capacities up to 320 GB. According to the announcement, the new series will be available at the end of June 2008.
Many drives recently introduced in the market feature a low power consumption, and also the new MHZ2 BJ series is an energy-efficient piece of hardware, requiring only 2.3 W of power for read and write operations.
To ensure a high speed, these drives are provided with an SATA interface. No information is available about prices, but more detailed specifications can be found here (PDF file).
