Fujitsu to release new 2.5" HDD with 250 GB Capacity (Press Release)
New ultra-slim 2.5" HDD is intended for use in notebook PCs and consumer electronics products
Fujitsu Limited announced the development of a new series of 2.5" hard disk drives with a storage capacity of 250 GB in a slim 9.5mm-thin profile, among the industry's highest capacity HDDs in its class. Sales of the new MHY2 BH series will begin during the second quarter of 2007, targeting global markets for consumer electronics products and notebook PCs.
As notebook PCs and consumer electronics grow more powerful and feature-rich, the volume of data they are required to handle is rapidly increasing, resulting in growing demand for slim, high-capacity HDDs. Fujitsu's new series of HDDs meets that demand and, through perpendicular magnetic recording, delivers 250 GB of storage capacity in a slender 9.5mm-thin form factor. The new series maintains the same Fujitsu quality that has won accolades from customers, and is intended for use in notebook PCs, compact desktop PCs and consumer electronics.
With an idle acoustic noise level of 2.4 bels, and low power consumption, operating at 1.9 watts or less when reading or writing data, the MHY2 BH series is also among the best-in-class in terms of noise and energy efficiency. The new HDDs are also Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) compliant.

Hmm... that's a lot of space. I could keep almost all of my "nature videos" on that. Yeah, that's the ticket.
