Hardware manufacturer TerraTec Electronic teams with Ulead
GristyMcFisty used our news submit to tell us about this story he saw over at Music Industry News. The multimedia hardware manufacturer TerraTec is partnering with software company Ulead Systems to further expand its video editing and DVD authoring solutions. Going beyond simple bundling, the Nettetal, Germany-based manufacturer is already optimizing it's products for Ulead software in the early design stages, and vice versa. With "truly seamless solutions" being the goal according to TerraTec Managing Director Heiko Meertz.

"Only winners will come out of this increased cooperation - especially among our customers. With software optimally attuned to our hardware video editing solutions, they'll have fun with our products from the very start", as TerraTec Video Product Manager Martin Hopp said with certainty. Ulead provides all users - from beginners to pros - with easy-to-use video editing software. "That's a fact that has been honored by buyers looking for a true alternative to the previous market leader", according to Hopp.

"On one hand, our partnership with TerraTec reflects a relationship based on trust, but also demonstrates the quality of compatibility between TerraTec's hardware solutions and our software, with its high customer acceptance", said Andreas Lakeberg, Director of Business Development, Ulead Systems GmbH. "The ongoing development in the home entertainment sector demands high-quality products. As a result of our cooperation, we're offering customers a complete package not only for recording and editing videos, but also for authoring VCDs, SVCDs and DVDs".

According to TerraTec, a mobile AV solution and a new entry-level video editing board shall appear on the market in the near future. Ulead MediaStudio 7, MovieFactory 2 and DVD Workshop will be included as a part of a professional video editing solution bundle. Also, Video Studio 7 will be come along with a new digital TV board. Sounds good to me. Thanks for the information GristyMcFisty!
