Help wanted on Autodesk Inventor
A request from one of our visitors to help him out with a little software back-up problem.

Autodesk has a new program called Inventor. It uses C-dilla software protection. When I load it on a computer it generates a code. I then have to call Autodesk to obtain a reg number and type that in the program. When I load it on another computer and start the program, it generates a different code. I am not able to use the same reg number that I got for the original computer. The license allows the used to export the number to another computer in a "pool" of computers (this disables the computer that you exporting from). In order to import the number back to the original computer you must first import to the destination computer then export to the original computer. My issue is that I use this software at work and I need to be able to use it at home...

Is there something I can do?

The sollution is simple.
Run a Ghost on the original machine, export the licent.
Put the Ghost image back.

You can now import the licence on the new machine and the software should run on both ...

(you may have to boot up into a command prompt to remove cdantsrv.exe since
windows wont let you kill the process, it only affects NT/win2k systems.)

delete everything here
c:winnt delete cdilla*.exe here (cdilla10.exe, cdilla64.exe, etc.)
Note: we recommend leaving the cdilla*.dll files in c:winnt since they are looked
for when starting Inventor, (just to avoid that gay nag msg that says it cant
find the dll(s) before it starts the app, other than that the dlls serve
no purpose at all.)
