Japanese government invests in HDTV

A Japanese Magazine, called Yomiuri Shimbun, announces that the Japanese government will invest massively in the fabrication of the next-gen HDTV's. The ministery of communication will make a total of 300 million yen (2.7 million dollars) available for research.

This research will be the start of a new era, an era with Super Hi-Vision-technology. The technology is also known as Ultra-HDTV. This new technology has a resolution of 7680x4320p.

Broadcasting with this resolution will start in 2015. The main goal is to become a international standard... Will this happen?
