KaZaA Lite 1.51 released
Nighthawk! used our newssubmit to tell us that he found an URL to an 'Lite' version of KaZaA:

For those who still don't know, KaZaA uses the superior FastTrack Network, previously also used by Morpheus. More details on how to get rid of the nasty spyware here.
But consider this, people have been working for this software, if you like the software then please don't remove the adyware, if you however think the spyware does any harm to you then this is ofcourse something else. In my opinion showing ads is decent, spying on people is something different...

how come KaZaa lite installs a file called "cd_clint.dll", a Cydoor file?

Maybe because Kazaa won't run without this file in it's directory... (to get rid of the spyware you have to copy a dummy cd_clint.dll into kazaa's directory (at least with grokster)

Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page at http://www.refosearch.tk/
It says "Due to some changes in the FastTrack network (which is used by RefoSearch) the current version of RefoSeach has problems connecting to the network. The same applies for the 'old' version of Morpheus and old versions of KaZaA and Grokster. RefoSearch will not be available until further notice." I couldn't get it to work on my puter.

Lunchbox111 it does work, because it using the latest version of KaZaA. I think this is just some old news which needs to be removed from the page.
BTW KazaA Lite has just been updated to remove the Bonza Boddy button.

Fuck Kazaa. They have never failed to let us down. A spyware neutered version of Grokster is perfectly workable.
