MSI announces the DR8-A DVD recorder with HD-BURN support

MSI (Micro Star International) has added the specifications of their latest DVD recorder, the DR8-A, to their website. The drive supports the following recording speeds: 8x DVD+R, 4x DVD+RW, 4x DVD-R, 2x DVD-RW, 40x CD-R and 24x CD-RW. Besides these high recording speeds the DR8-A drive supports HD-BURN (High Density Burn, record 1.4GB to a standard 700MB CD-R discs) and ABS (Anti-Bumping System):

TrumanMaybe possibility to backup 1:1 working with no emulation of securom protect games. Nice, maybe finally another drive we can afford to get instead of high price plextor.

lapinouyou say that because of the possibility to change the size of a cd ?... a little bit like the premium ? sorry but it is not so easy, the hdburn is fixed step ( you double .. you can't do any size cd ) so it can't work like the premium for 1:1 copy

its already possible to backup up securom games w/out copy protection, is just a real pain in the ass to do it.
