Make Nero upgrade more stable...
Submitted by: Lord KiRon

Found a way to increase Nero 5.0.0.3 stability on system upgraded from prev. versions -remove files : Nero*.* from c:Windowssystemiosubsystem directory and then install Nero 5 . (makes Nero more stable + no problems with Nero's Nero/DirectCD boot menu that freezed a lot of comps after installing Nero 5 over Nero 4)

Note: This has not been tested by us. But may help some people.

Hi to all

The best way to install nero with no confict with other programs or installing files to system folders is like that:
1.Clean your c:windowstemp directory
2.Click setup.exe and let the install procedure come up (don't start it).
3.Then go to c:windowstemp and copy the folder nero.5 to somewhere you want.
4.Exit the setup

Now you can run Nero from the folder nero.5 make manualy your shortcuts.

Thats all

Nero only detects the machine series so if yours is 9110+ then it's from the 9100+ series, check out you cdrw box !

About the the 4x, i think HP 9100+ writes at 4x and rw at 4x, check your drive box!

Nero is lost in space. His biggest virtues, stability and reliability in almost any system, are long time ago gone. The title of the best CD-mastering program goes now without any doubt to WinOnCD 3.7 PE(without packetCd/Back me up), which just copies anything to anywhere (apart from copy- protected dsiks, for that you need Clone Cd or Blindread), recognizes every CD-Writer on earth, and gives no chance to even a 6-year-old to go wrong. It's better than Nero in audio CD's, at least as good in dta CD's, can create mixed mode Cd's with just two mouse clicks... and for me, not even one coaster in about 600 burns.
