Maxell introduces 4x BD-R and 2x BD-RE media

Hitachi Maxell has announced the introduction of its first 4x BD-R and 2x BD-RE DL media. The media will be printable for usage with inktjet printers and  are using the BD-Recordable Format Ver.1.2 standards and make use of a high- sensitive inorganic recording layer.  The 2x BD-RE DL are build upon the BD- Rewritable Format Ver.2.1 specifications.

The media will become available first on the the Japanese market and is expected around the 26th of November.

its good that they are coming out with inkjet printables this early, bit I bet the price will make people avoid it....Dual layer has yet to become affordable...Blu-Ray will take forever to become affordable.
