The Japanese company MelcoInc/Buffalo has announced a 4x/2x DVD-R/RW writer, the DVR-R42FB, based on the coming Toshiba SD-R5112. The drive is also capable of reading DVD-RAM and of course writing CD-R/RW in 16x/10x. The retail version of the Toshiba SD-R5112 will probably have the same specifications:
