Nero announced that Bang & Olufsen’s Serenata mobile phone and the BeoSound 6 mobile personal audio player will feature Nero Digital Audio+, which is fully compatible with the latest MPEG-4 audio standard (LC-AAC, HE-AAC and HE-AAC v2). Nero Digital Audio+ consistently wins blind listening tests when matched against other leading audio encoders by delivering the highest fidelity with distortion-free 24-bit digital output and built-in support for up to 7.1 audio channels.

The Serenata and BeoSound 6 will both be bundled and delivered with BeoPlayer software which integrates Nero Digital Audio+ technology to play back AAC files.

Nero Digital Audio+ has the ability to handle sampling rates from 8 to 96 kHz and bit rates to 320 kBit/s per channel with constant, average, variable, or double-pass coding modes ensuring that users have no difficulty with content from any audio source.
