Nero has officially announced its major new update to its Windows Vista Ready Nero 7 suite, with the addition Nero DiscCopy and Nero MultiMounter and making the use of Vista-styled icons. Nero DiscCopy allows for one-step disc copying of any format and MultiMounter allows simultaneous viewing of session statuses of multisession discs. Its SmartStart application now features 'Glass' support.
The company mentioned about its excitement of working with Microsoft to deliver what it calls "the next generation of home and mobile digital media entertainment innovation and technology", to keep its position in the digital media software marketplace.
Nero Home has also had several significant improvements to its performance and user interface, including a Global 10-Foot Settings Model for adjusting audio & video settings such as colour profiles, surround sound audio, etc. and Internet Service support for audio & video casts and DVB-Radio. It also includes support for transferring WMA, MP3 and NDA files to disc either directly or transcoded as an Audio CD. Windows Media Video DRM is also supported. Finally, Nero 7 includes the ability to record from TV and other video sources such as certified TV cards and composite & s-video capture cards.

Sorry but I'll pass this time ! People were already LIED to by NERO when they said they will allow smaller updates, we are still waiting, you have to download a huge bulky file for a minor update not to mention the tons of problems of version 7 including bugs unfixed combined with the utter incompetance of their tech support. NERO has gone to being decent to a piece of BLOATWARE junk that nobody wants on its computers.
Thank you NERO but I'll pass on junkware...... There are other much smaller better alternatives. VISTA is already a resource hog to begin with I don't need NERO to top it off too!
Maybe by version 8 or 9 they will get their act together
