Networked, HD LCD TV's with HDD from Hitachi

Watching high-definition on your TV can now be done with a few new HD TV models from Hitachi. 32", 37" and 42" models are added to Hitachi's Wooo UT series and all models are only 35mm thick, excluding its frame. With an enhanced network support featured on all models you can now easily access content via the Internet. All models also offer a high-definition recording technology which allows 50 hours of HD recording to the built-in hard drive. The technology, called XCodeHD, is manufactured by Canada's ViXS Systems.

Besides being thin Hitachi's new models offer 'acTVila' which allows people to watch video content by connecting the TV set to a broadband network. A simple press on the 'Net' button sends you to Hitachi's portal site right away. You will arrive at Wooonet and from there you can start uploading your own videos and photos. Now your content is available to everybody on Hitachi's network.

Hitachi mainly focuses on their product's interactivity, but isn't giving a lot of info on the TV's specs. In a video report from JCN Network you can find all the info that we got right now. You can buy your TV on the 3rd of June and Hitachi promises that you will enjoy it for 60,000 hours...
