New firmware for DVD burner BTC DRW1004IM available
Marco BTC used our forum to tell us, that BTC has finished development on their new firmware version 0047 for the BTC DRW1004IM. The software is not yet available for download directly from BTC, but it's not impossible to get it now.

Changelog V0047: confidential !
Only thing I can tell you is that most MIDs write strategies were overhauled/tuned and not many were added.

V0047 Windows version available by end of this week through LiveUpdate (www.drvupdate.com)

V0047 DOS version available NOW ! on request at support@btceurope.nl

Marco also let us know, that BTC are currently working on the new firmware version 0048 which will probably offer bitsetting for DVD+R(W) media. I don't know of any other dual DVD burner that is currently able to support this feature.

For those who do not want to wait for BTC, you might find a download possibility in this thread. If you have different questions concerning BTC drives, feel free to use our BTC Forum.

"I don't know of any other dual DVD burner that is currently able to support this feature." Not true Herrie over at the Firmware page and BronKowTech45 are about to release a Hacked firmware for Bitsetting features! So I believe the Nec 1300 will have this feature first! for info check http://www.herrie.org/ Stick Out Tongue

LiggyBut it's not supported by the manufacturer. And Herrie and BKT45 are also not ready yet. We'll see who is first.
