New firmware release adds bitsetting support for NEC ND-6500
NEC is currently one of the most popular DVD recorder brands and although the burners are popular they have a big disadvantage for many users; they do not support booktype changing. There are always some smart people with knowlegde of firmwares that are willing to help and one of them is Liggy, easily recognisable by his 'smoking monkey' avatar.
He already
brought some improvements for other drives and this time he - in cooperation with our friends The Dangerous Brothers - was able to release a firmware that brings auto booktype (bitsetting) changing. Also some other enhancements are available in this firmware, more information can be found in this forum thread.

I only took the existing bitsetting code and added a default booktype for DVD+R - everyone could do this within an hour of work...

Any chance you could do it for the Pioneer A08XLA?
Lots of folks would appreciate it.
