Thanks to Alien_X we know that a new version of KaZaA Lite has been released. This latest version is available in five different languages and on the KaZaA Lite website we can read the following message:
KaZaA Lite v2.1.0 (K++ Edition):
Are you afraid of the entertainment industry? Does your country have stupid copyright laws? You don't share because you are afraid you get caught for doing so? The newest version of KaZaA Lite has the solution for you!
It is now possible to prevent other people from listing your shared files (find more from the same user, etc.). There is just ones little downside to this, because it may let people think that you are not sharing any files. But for some people privacy is what counts.
Of course this latest KaZaA Lite version also has some improvements and fixes. For a complete listing and downloads to this latest version you can visit the KaZaA Lite homepage.

I said it already on other forums, but I make another plea here - please don't use this hiding function - the "search from the same user" is a very useful function, it would be a pity if it were gone, because everyone hides their files

Why is that such a usefull function - normally you'll search for what you need - unless you're curious of what others share

I use it because most of the time that user has a very fast connection and I wish to see what else I can download at 200 kb/s.
Leeches. Did you know that your ISP is monitoring your downloads and keeping track of your activities? Don't believe, call and ask them.

All right go Kazaa Lite!!!! Maybe this is the solution to share files in peace and protect yourself from the RIAA and MPAA!!!!! I like this article because it sounds like it is promoting free file swapping of copyrighted works. I would like to know though how the hide function works and how do you know what files you will be getting?
@Kimpil:
the reason mx32nv gave above is also true for me. besides, often I can't find what I need using the regular kazaa search, but if I find the first part of the movie, it's pretty obvious that the same user has also the second part, so I scan his files and download the second part.

I'm a Leech now because I use Kazaa Lite? Please. I actually don't have a problem with the new version. If a users hides there files then so be it. It's all about the speed folks, like I posted before. And as far as my ISP goes, I don't give a crap what they monitor. I haven't changed anything I've been doing since cable modems existed so if they got something on me then bring it on!

You can still search the files that is shared - you just can't see them all at once. This is a good since the Danish part of RIAA, have been taken snapshots of what you're sharing and they use this snapshot to take you to court.
@WRFan
Shouldn't Kazaa be able to find all the files you share?
Try using the autosearch more buttom.
