Optiarc announces a Blu-ray burner
According to a news published at computing, Optiarc will introduce soon in the market its first Blu-ray burner.
The drive, named BD-M100A, will be able to write on both single and dual layer Blu-ray discs at a speed up to 8x, but also on regular DVD and CD discs.
No more detailed specifications are available, and actually no info at all is available at Optiarc website.

It can't burn BD-R and BD-RDL discs at 8x... only at 2x. The article quoted initially was mistaken, as can be seen by the official details shown provided by Ian's link.
