According to a news published at computing, Optiarc will introduce soon in the market its first Blu-ray burner.

The drive, named BD-M100A, will be able to write on both single and dual layer Blu-ray discs at a speed up to 8x, but also on regular DVD and CD discs.

There's plenty of info on the Optiarc website.

I hear its just a rebadged Panasonic SW-5582 anyway. :p
It can't burn BD-R and BD-RDL discs at 8x... only at 2x. The article quoted initially was mistaken, as can be seen by the official details shown provided by Ian's link.
