Me too;

Component
'MSCEComDlg.dll' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Note: I'm using Windows 2K, maybe this is the problem?

The file that is missing is from Visualbasic 5/6 or
Windows CE.

downloaded that micro$oft junk, can't get it to install, it claims you also need the CE Toolkit.

Please post that runtime that was announced earlier.

Hmm no wonder the runtime files were no inc. I am d/l now, and they are 5.4meg in size. Pretty damm strange considering the prg is only 100k or so

Here's what you need to get that cectlpak to work. I can't find the CE Toolkit... also I'm running Win98SE.
The original runtime posted here was only 1.5 Mb

Setup couldnt not find Windows CE toolkit for VisualBasic 5.0 installed on yer system. Plzz install the toolkit b4 installing this app

ok I place the reqired dll in the system dir and the system32 dir, did a reboot, and no such luck! If any of you guyz have a working solution, plzz post

Hi All

OK this is what I did first just run WinZip on the cectlpak.exe and extract MSCEComDlg.dll and put it in the directory you put the CloneCD addon in. Don't install it.

And thats it, its only 108k so it should have been included with the program (would have saed the 5MB D/L). Program runs fine, I do have VB6 installed so I can't guarrentee it will work for all (may require additional dlls, but it should tell you). As for how good it is, well its similar to CDDetect in that it starts CloneCD with various parameters already set and it has a database of a number of CDs and their parameters to back them up.

So there you go

I downloaded the cectlpak.exe linked above and unzipped it with WinZip. It included several versions of the missing file, but I copied the one from the dev directory to the folder where I had pcc.exe and it seem to work... However I'm not very impressed by the prog...

And why the heck did he use Windows CE-controls, what's wrong with the normal comctrl32.dll?

DAMM I have installed the beta copy, I have also tried to install different versions of the dll file to the same dir, no suck luck!

Mayby the programmer doesnt like Athlon processors or Windows SE

Hey, All I wanna know is why you guys are putting so much effort into trying to get this program to work??
I mean CloneCD works great. There's a working serial for the latest version at CDRSoft.net so I don't see why your all putting so much effort into this program which obviously from all your comments has some sevre problems.

well, what to say... today after installing that lame vbasic addon my clonecd has been fucked! No CDROM inserted! (EVER!) I had to reinstall clean the .reg and reboot! And as some1 wrote whay we need this kinda program when EVERY cdrom works fine with all parameters activated?!

As they say IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT!!! I have tried everything that every one had suggested to get this utility working and to give it a fair chance, but it is not happening! I guess somethings are better left alone ! An Absolute WASTE of TIME and EFFORT!
