Philips DVD recorder with DVD+R and +RW support
Philips today annouced on the CeBIT fair the latest DVD recorder:the DVDRW228 a DVD burner that supports as one of the first ones the new format DVD+R and also writes on DVD+RWs. Data and video can be saved on the DVD+R with 2.5x DVD speed.

In April Philips will launch the new burner for 700 Euro in Germany. Included in delivery are Sonic Solutions MyDVD 3.5, an audio cable and a DVD+RW and DVD+R each. Philips also offers appropriate media. The DVD+R shall save up to 4.7 Gbytes and shall cost 14 Euro. In addition to the known Jewelbox it is also available in a DVD video box.

Get your title right PLS... I was all happy about philips supporting DVD-R next to the DVD+RW, untill I read the article. Frown
