Plextor America releases firmware 1.01 for PX-716A
On Wednesday we reported that Plextor Europe had delayed their released of the Plextor PX-716A DVD recorder because of quality issues. But, in the U.S.A. the drive can already be purchased in various stores. Today, thanks to nightwolf00, we know that Plextor America has released firmware 1.01 for the PX-716A drive. Here is the changelog:

I bought one of these over the weekend and it won't recognize a single disc, CD-R, DVDR, burned, blank, or pressed. Don't bother.

Return it right away!!. I happened to me twice. This drive shouldn't has gone out to market with such a quality problem.
