Plextor Europe has released a new firmware version for their CD-RW/DVD combo drive, the PX-320A, which we reviewed here. This latest firmware has the following changes:

  • Limit read speed for digital playback of audio CD to 4X to avoid noise
  • Increase read speed for DVD-Video by pressing eject switch

    Fixed Bugs:
  • Cannot initialise small-capacity DVD's
  • Cannot initialise unfinalized DVD-RW written in VR mode
  • Cannot boot from bootable DVD's
  • Reboot when trying to play DVD-Audio

  • If you want to upgrade the firmware of your PX-320A drive then you can find downloads here. If you need help or when you simply want to discuss Plextor and their products, you can of course drop by in our Plextor Forum.
