Plextor Europe updates firmware PX-W1210TA  and PX-W320A

Plextor has updated the firmware for two of their products, the PX-W1210TA (12/10/32) and the PX-W320A (The Plex Combo).

The PX-W1210TA which is already a relatively old burner is still kept up to date, and the firmware release of the PX-W320A seems to fix some bugs:


Changelog PX-W320A V1.02:

Added:

  • Write performance for various discs, types and speeds

    Fixed Bugs:

  • Diagnostic test did not support two layers on DVD-R/RW discs
  • Error display when the system exits stand-by mode under Windows 2000
  • Occasional error when writing in Lead-Out area

    Improvements:

  • Initialisation of DVD-RW v1.0 disc
  • Access time of DVD disc

    Changelog PX-W1210TA V1.10:

    Added:

  • Support for newer CD-R media (Tayo Yuden 40X, Verbatim 40X, Mitsui Chemical 40X)
  • Support for latest Orange Book Part2 Vol2 V1.1 specification

    Fixed Bugs:

  • Hang-up during copy of Mixed Mode CD by means of Easy CDCreator V5.1.1.102
  • Cannot write 99 tracks in TAO
  • Cannot mount a CD-RW formatted by InCD 3.16 or B's Clip 3.16

    What is the - Orange Book Part 2 Vol. 2 V1.1 specification ? I could not find it on Google

    http://www.disctronics.co.uk/technology/cdbasics/cd_books.htm Orange book in one of the books that contains specifications for different cd formats, check the url for more info. The orange book seems to be for multisession specification.
